Recently discovered AFK
farming with Necro. See, what happens (generally), is you go somewhere with
a rapid spawning of easily killable mobs with a Necro, summon ALL THE MINIONS,
and let them kill for you. Now, I don't really AFK farm. I actually do
"semi-AFK farming." What this means is that I know I'm going to be interrupted
(like, maybe my daughter is doing homework, and I know I'll be pulled away to
help her), so I go somewhere and do something that, if I go AFK, I won't die at.
Further, I know I'll actually probably thrive a bit even though I'm AFK. It's
pretty handy. Truthfully, I'm never away for more than five to ten minutes,
so it's not real AFK farming (at least, not compared to the real
abusers of the system out there :-)
Trix and I recently did a guild hall claiming for ClanAM:

We want a guild hall with resource nodes that is not the same
level as our other guild's hall. See, if the levels are the same, you can only
harvest from one hall's nodes. But if they are different levels, you can harvest
from both. So our goal was to got another hall and level up the nodes enough to
harvest them, but not cap it. It was a pretty fun little thing to do.

The end result was a shiny new guild hall for ClanAM.

The latest Living Story episode was released recently. It included yet another
massive new area, Draconis Mons, which has even more massive, map-wide
events, such as this wurm fight:

This new LS3 episode was pretty fun, but, really, the new zone takes the cake.
It has the same twisty-turney, maze-like layout of Tangled Depths, yet gives us
a few new ways to navigate it that make it much more enjoyable to move around in.
I also did some more Bitterfrost whatever stuff, and encountered this hilarious bug
of a jellyfish above water.
Lastly, they recently overhauled the WvW reward system, which was greatly
needed. They took the semi-useless tourney tokens (from the tournaments which
we haven't seen in 3+ years) and repurposed them into new tokens for various
killer rewards. They also took the unfinished and unobtainable armor skins
and released them for purchase using this new currency. They also
introduced a new legendary backpack just for WvW (which I think is kind of ugly,
but whatever). The end result was that there were massive crowds joining
WvW the week this update dropped which resulted in some of the most insane and
awesome battles I've ever taken part in:

The new rewards, which come in the form of participation "pips" were also
a huge hit.
It may have queued the maps quite a bit, but I'm still pretty satisfied with
the new WvW updates.
One final, small update. With the recently leaked
information about the next expansion, I've been going back and making some
new characters to take advantage of the new elite specs. I know, I know, I'll
use absolutely any excuse to generate new characters.
Made a new Engineer called Hihache (after the Lafayette Afro Rock Band song
of the same name).

My current goal with her is to have her, eventually, use full T3 Triumphant
Armor (which was recently added to WvW). I'm not 100% certain how I'll have her
face/hair look yet, figured I'd wait until I have the rest of the
armor and see how the expansion shakes out.
Also made a new Thief called Oyeme Cachita (after the Esquivel song
of the same name).

With this one, I actually did some mild RP'ing. See, I already have another
Thief named after another Esquivel song
(Mucha Muchacha), and for this new Thief, I
actually wanted to use a look that I liked as a backup for Mucha. So, I created
Oyeme as Mucha's sister, so I could have an excuse to make her look
somewhat similar. I promise, that's the extent to RP'ing I ever intend to do :-)
Finally, I've been letting my daughter create characters with my weekly
key farming character, and she's come up with some real doozies. This includes
the most recent one she made, Rashy
Nanny. Where she comes up with these names I have no idea.
