This site chronicles my time playing Guild Wars 2, a massively multiplayer online role playing game developed by ArenaNet. I've been playing Guild Wars 2 (mostly[1]) since its release in August 2012.

Guild Wars 2 was my first game in the franchise- I never played Guild Wars 1. Previously, I played the excellent FFXI, by Squeenix, from 2004 to 2010. There, I played a Galka named "Vis Maior", and wrote about my adventures at the website "Vis Maior's Journeys Through Vana'diel". I greatly enjoyed the 6 years I played FFXI, and only time will tell if Guild Wars 2 will have the same longevity for me.

• [1] : Technically, I played GW2 from August 2012 to sometime late in 2014 (it was near the end of Living World Season 2), then got bored of the content (having done just about everything). When GW2's first expansion, HoT was announced, it sounded like they were addressing the general lack of end-game content, which excited me. So, in August 2015, I came back to Tyria.
