Continued the quest for Chuka & Chumpawat. In the fourth tier you get to a
point where you've defeated the tigers Chuka and Chumpawat, and have discovered
that they have left behind three tiger cubs. You have effectively orphaned these
cubs, and, because you feel guilt over this, you decide to raise the cubs.
You select one of the previous den locations as their new home (I chose
the one high
up on a cliff in the Hidden
Garden jumping puzzle) and the set about taking care of these cubs.
One really awesome aspect of this is that you can summon the tigers and have
them ride on your back. The reasoning behind this is that you are teaching them
how to tiger by having them watch you fight and things. But regardless of the
lore-motivation, it's just really awesome to have a cute little tiger cub
chilling on your back:
You can bring out any of the three tigers, and they each have subtle differences
in how they look.
As you care for the tigers, you craft several things that they need. You
craft artificial tiger milk to nourish them, and you eventually craft playthings
like a ball and a scratching post, which wind up in the den:
I managed to complete the Chuka & Chumpawat collections! Yay! Hooray!
The final result was the crafting of Tigris, the precursor, as well as
obtaining several items needed for the final crafting of the Legendary
Short-bow. Here I am with Tigris equipped while I also ran around with
one of the tiger clubs on my back:
I think I ran with this precursor as my bow for about a week or two before
I had everything I needed to finally craft the Legendary. Honestly, the precursor
is pretty unique looking.
Went out with [SAND] on a raid attempt. It went... poorly... as none of us
had the masteries needed for it :-) Still, was a fun experience.
As I said in the last post, it took me a couple of weeks, but I soon had
the materials necessary to craft Chuka and Chumpawat. It's kind of amazing,
but my general Thief experience has been an expeditious one. I leveled the
job in a weekend, and the Legendary weapon for it I managed to charge through
in under a month!
At any rate, I recorded my final crafting of the short-bow, which you can
see below:
