I have twice now gotten precursors in the game. The first was for Frostfang (which I crafted) and the second was for a shitty underwater one (which I sold). Needless to say, neither were worth too much, but they were still pretty cool to get.

Well, tonight, I got amazingly lucky and managed to get the most expensive precursor in the game. It came from a gear bag from an Auric Basin run.... And the really crazy thing is I'd been streaming my gameplay for the past couple of hours. There I was, opening bags, being rather oblivious to what dropped (assuming it was all semi-garbage, as usual). Then, when I went to salvage them, I noticed what I actually got....

Dusk.... Mother-fucking Dusk...

It wasn't until some 40 minutes later that I realized I had captured the entire thing due to the fact I'd be streaming. So, I went back and snipped out the exact moment of the drop.

I honestly don't know what I want to do with it. I could sell it now for a quick 1.5k G. I could invest another 600G into it and turn it into the legendary which sells for 5k G. Or, I could craft it and keep it for myself... Need to think on this a bit...
